Pantone has announced Blue Iris as the Colour of the Year 2008. It reminds me of school pinafores. I like it.In Pantone's press release, the rationale is given as "Combining the stable and calming aspects of blue with the mystical and spiritual qualities of purple, Blue Iris satisfies the need for reassurance in a complex world, while adding a hint of mystery and excitement." Enough with the mambo jambo, it's a colour, not a scientific theory!
